How to use GEDCOMP

If you a researching Swedish persons you should also try DISBYT in DIS-Sverige.
GEDCOMP finds genealogists with interest in the same persons by comparing a growing number of GEDCOM-files.

To use GEDCOMP you must therefore submit your genealogical information in GEDCOM-format.

You can use special genealogy software to write a GEDCOM-file with your genealogical information, I recommend GRAMPS.

The users of GEDCOMP use this software for genealogy.

GEDCOM is a standard for electronic communication of genealogical data. Here is the (rather technical) GEDCOM-standard.

In case your GEDCOM-file is determined not to contain information about any Danish or Swedish persons it may not be included in GEDCOMP.
